Orthopaedic Innovation

Australian-surgeon designed implants and instruments

Working with the Sydney University Manufacturing Hub, we ideate, design and prototype Australian-surgeon ideas. Utilising resin and metal 3D printing and local instrument manufacturers,  Equinox is able to bring these ideas to life, providing surgeons with access to additional surgical options.

Low cost, fast turnaround

Equinox provides unique, low-cost patient matched plates for complex surgeries with a quick turn around

Accurate plate matching

The customised plate is anatomically matched to the patient's unique bone topography

Medical Innovation

Repurposing plastic waste, to protect our future

Equinox Medical and Thread Apparel began our partnership to support Australia’s transition to locally made, ethically sourced surgical gowns and protective clothing through our brand SeamBiosis. SeamBiosis is committed to aiding the transition to a circular economy by managing and recycling the plastic waste generated from hospitals to produce rPP for new local fabric manufacturers.

Sustainable Design

Seambiosis uses state-of-the-art recycling technology to strive towards a more sustainable future

Australian Made

Our gowns are produced locally, using Australian seamstresses and production staff

Pathology Innovation

Lab-free, point-of-care, RT-PCR test for SARS-CoV-2

We are bringing to market a lab-free RT-PCR point-of-care testing platform that delivers accurate results with a processing time of less than 60 minutes. The testing platform can multiplex up to 72 assays and detect all published COVID-19 variants with expanding capabilities to detect Influenza A, B and RSV.
